Hey! As most of you know, I moved to Osaka, Japan exactly 2 weeks ago. I figured out it would be cool to share my experience here.

I never actually explained why I moved here when I don't know Japanese and don't have much interest in anime, you probably think it's for fashion and shopping then, which is true now LOL I got an opportunity, and when I heard about it, of course I took it and started preparing visa documents because Osaka sounds way cooler than spending another year in Frydek Mistek xD 

A month before moving, when I came back to Poland from Korea I started being hesistated due to my personal life getting veeeeeery complicated and me having a very bad episode. That's why I was also not posting anything, sorry. I'm a person to take every opportunity to make my life interesting because I don't want to ever regret not doing something in the future so I immidiately said 'yes' to the moving and was quick to process visa and stuff. But, the month before moving, when everything went down so suddenly I was really close to abandoning my plans and starting over in Warsaw. 

I can't even read hirigana and I know I'm too lazy to learn Japanese, I've never been there before, it's such a different culture and I have only 1 person I can count on in Osaka so I became really hesistant, like the reality of what a crazy move it is finally hit me. I always have this mentality where I'm convinced everything's gonna be okay so I'm not scared to take risks, but honestly, I think that time might just be one of the lowest moments of my life and I totally lost this conviction. I met old and new friends there and had so many social outings which felt amazing after isolating myself in Czech for 2 years, so I kinda wanted to stay and find a job & apartament. 

Buuuuut what changed my mind (except my life turning a bit better) was that...my visa was expiring at 11th Nov and if I don't enter and waste it, I won't be able to get a visa anywhere easily and I wanted to try living in USA someday too (T＿T)...

So I did come 10th Nov, 1 day before my visa expiration thinking I'll stay here for a month or so and come back, since I didn't have many expectations and really grew into the idea of staying in Poland. 

Do I regret not staying there now? NUH UH! I love it here~ Maybe it's cuz I didn't have high expectations that I like it here so much? Idk but I feel really good here. My shopoholist soul is in heaven and I'm constantly overstimulated (in a good way). What I love here the most is the architecture I think. I expected streets to be similiar to Seoul, but it's complitely different. The vibe here is just really nice.

As a classic foreigner, I of course fell in love with Don Quixote. It's a big Japanese market chain that has literally everything. Like, everything everything. I'm lucky enough to have Mega Donki not so far away and I can literally hang out there for 6 hours at night and not see even 1/3 of the products. I'm gonna make a post someday with pictures of some cool products!

Sanrio is like, everywhere. The main characters to find are of course Hello Kitty, My Melo, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll and Pompompurin but it's easy to spot character goods with Keroppi, Badtz-Maru, Cinnamoroll friends, Wish Me Mell, Pocchaco and the 2 characters with blue and pink hair. I need to admit I never watched any Sanrio anime but the characters are so cute and eye catching! If anyone's curious, here are my favorite Sanrio characters:

The food here is really affordable! I was really suprised how cheap it is compared to Poland, and I thought Poland is cheap (well, not anymore due to crazy inflation...) After 12.30am at night, in my nearby market Tamade there's a discount on fish and meat and a plate of fresh salmon sushi costs 2 bucks!

HOW TO ACHIEVE GLASS SKIN FOR BEGGINERS

Hi~! I know my blog has been a bit dusty recently, sorry for that. I restored my energy now so lesssgooo 💖 I asked you on instagram if you'd like to see my makeup collection and the answers gave me many new ideas for content here! Don"t worry, I'll show my make and skincare collection too but I wanna start with this tutorial cause for a loooong time I've been getting questions on how is my skin so perfect (spoiler, it's not) when irl it's my secret makeup hacks! You've probably noticed k-beauty influence in my makeup, it actually started with me dating a Korean boy as a teen and he gave me some products that started my interest in makeup overall and till this day the 2015s Kbeauty makeup is the style I feel most skillfull in. Throughout the years I've been perfecting my own techniques that work for me and I wanna share it with you now! This is a makeup tutorial so it will work even if your skin is not dewy~

*I highly recommend using your fingers or a cushion pad as I find brushes and sponges matte the skin

#1 Use concealer first

Since we are going for glossy, dewy and moist skin look, we are gonna do things a little differently! Remember, this is a makeup tutorial so we are gonna fake the perfect skin on the outside, but before we do that we need to correct everything under it. Use a thick, high coverage concealer and apply it in dots to areas you want to even out. In my case, those are:

- Eye bags

- Nosolabial folds (smile lines)

- Under lower lip line

- Area between eyes (if you wear glasses and have a mark after wearing them or if you have close set eyes)

Tap it in. Remember that concealer should be 1/2 shades lighter than your foundation. Here are the concealers I reccomend:

#2 Use a dewy light-medium coverage foundation

Well this one is kinda obvious but don't use any foundations that can be cakey or drying! Look for foundations/bb creams/skin tins that seem plasticky and leave a silicony residue. Umm...ok that doesn't sound the most pleasant but I bet yall know what I mean. It must be shiny. After the concealer dries apply the foundation on your entire face, the right amount to me is 4 finger tips, each on forehead, cheeks and chin and PAT DONT SPREAD or you'll mix it with the concealer, but we dont wanna mix it, we wanna put it on top. Using fingers or cushion pads will give you the best results. Here are some I reccomend:

Amuse skin tune vegan cushion

Under 20 antibacterial mattifying foundation/bb cream

* don't mind the mattifying in name, its super glossy they were high af naming it

Dishali aloe foundation

I. Swear. On. Pierogi. Dishali is the best foundation Ive used in my life, I found it for 5 bucks in a vietnamese market and Ill prob get skin cancer from it someday but its the PERFECT foundation. I cant reccomend it cause the ingridients r probably radioactive or smth but it has everything u want. Its HUGE, waterproof, medium+ coverage but super wet and glossy and like siliconey. I bet u saw the chinese tiktoks where girls use mysterious extra pale foundation and then spray it and touch their phone on it and it doesn't transfer, Yeah, This is literally it. Even if I grow a 3rd arm from using it Im not gonna stop. I'd say I reccomend my ass off but take ur own responsibility.

#3 Sunscreen

Ok, it may sound weird to put sunscreen on top of makeup but shhhh just trust me. It will be ok (as long as u dont mix water based step #2 with silicone sunscreen and opposite, then it will peel). Not only is a good sunscreen keeping u young 4eva but U CAN USE IT AS MAKEUP (whatttt) yeah. The sunscreen or rather sunblock, as we r not talking about the greasy ones should be light weight and transparent in a milk consistency. Honestly just look for Korean brands, they make the best ones that can be used with makeup. The amount of how much should you use is 2 fingers lenghts, apply it on skin and pat in with fingers. You will notice its giving you this beautiful watery shine!

Tonymoly uv master

Although I have a loooot of sun protection products (most important step in avoiding aging) this Tonymoly one is the best one to use with makeup. You should reapply your sunscreen every few hours, I do 5 and use it everyday, I promise your skin will be thankful!

#4 Face gloss/highlighter

The final step is to enchance targeted areas. The best product for the glossy wet look is a face gloss but since I know it's hard to get, a veryyy fine white cool highlighter or pearl eyeshadow will do too. To look shiny, glowy, like you have a moistruizer on a perfect skin, apply the product on:

- Cheekbones duh

- Nose tip-blank-nosebridge up to your brows!

- Brow arch

- Inner eye corners

- Under lower lip

- Triangle area of the inner sides of your cheeks, slightly above the nostrils so when you smile you look glowing!

- Lower forehead between brows

#5 NO Powder

Powder is forbidden on this server, sorry. The only acceptable place is the eyebags if you reaaaally need it but Im a powder hater. I really dont reccomend using any in this makeup because together with sunscreen it will look cakey.

Gyaru Makeup Basics

Hey~! Let's have a talk about gal makeup.

Is it actually so important?

Before we start, I wanna establish that everyone has a right to have their own opinion and the modern gyaru (2020s) is a bit different, I'm refering here mostly to the 2000s and 2010s as previous to that the makeup didn't pay such a big role.

Soooo is it really important? Yeah, it is. 

"But on TikTok there was this song Gal is Mind so being gyaru is a mindset"

Yes, it it but together with the appearance, you need to remember that gyaru is a fashion-based subculture. So anyway, let's talk about it~!

The most common attribute in gyaru makeup is the droop. The droop is a makeup feature focused on making eyes appear bigger or droopy by creating a space between the waterline and the lower liner. The space can be either left empty (or filled beige/gray) or filled black, however filling it white should be avoided as that's what differs gyaru from dolly makeup.

It's important to remember the droop's purpose is to enlarge, round or droop the eye shape, not make the eyes appear slanter, so I drew this to know what makes the difference:

So as you see, the important thing is to follow the eye shape to the outer corner before starting the droop instead of starting it above.

There are many ways to do your droop and you should experiment with what fits your features the best! You can do the sunrise droop (blue one) which makes your eyes look smiling and approachable, the green enlarging droop or the classic yellow one, and remember that all can be longer or shorter (vertically), and with rounder or sharper tails.

You can create the droop in many ways too! A simple line or a droop made of lashes, that's up to you~

Did you know it's possible to be gyaru without the droop too? Yeah! But it all depends on the substyle, while you can pass on the droop with softer styles like for example himekaji, it wouldn't be possible with flashier styles like tsuyome.

In some styles it's also ok to do makeup without the droop but with darkening the lower lid, like rokku.

    

Circle lenses play a big role in every substyle. Yeah, technically you can be gyaru without the lens but just like false lashes, it simply won't look so good. Usually you should go for the enlarging effect, however manba, yamanba, tsuyome and banba often go for unnatural flashy colors.

For the lashes you should look for the ones with spikes! While you look for them, try to find also lower eyelid falsies, they aren't necessary as some gals don't include lower lashes in their make but if you do, it may save you time instead of drawing them on.

So what's about the white nose and stuff? If you're into gyaru you surely have seen the white makeup on eyes, nose, lips and sometimes even forehead or as whiskers! This makeup is mostly common in manba and yamanbas, ganguro, banba and sometimes tsuyome. The original purpose of white eyeshadow in ganguro was to create the contrast with skin and make the tan more flashy. Manba makeup includes the white makeup around the eyes while yamanba only does it on the upper eyelid.

The lips in gyaru are almost always light color (preferably pink but coral appears too sometimes) or even white, the exception being mature elegant styles like Onee and Mode.

The eyebrows in gyaru differ to each individual gal but they are usually on the thinner and straighter side, expecially in flashier styles, they also tend to make brow ends higher.

I think that's all I wanted to share, try to experiment to create your own style that suits you the best~
